AusConnect Australia – Membership Terms and Conditions

By applying for and/or becoming a member of AusConnect Australia, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Purpose of AusConnect Australia
AusConnect Australia is an online Australian business networking community designed to foster:
– Genuine professional relationships
– Collaboration and referral opportunities
– Respectful, people-focused business growth
Members are expected to contribute positively to the community and act with professionalism at all times.

2. Membership Application & Acceptance
All memberships are subject to approval by AusConnect Australia.
Submission of a membership application does not guarantee acceptance.
We reserve the right to accept or decline applications to protect the integrity, balance, and culture of each group.

3. Industry Exclusivity & Competition Policy
To ensure fair opportunity and meaningful connection:
Direct Competition
– Only one member per primary business category is permitted within a specific AusConnect group.
“Direct competition” is defined as businesses offering substantially the same core service to the same target market.
Examples of direct competition:
– Two mortgage brokers
– Two business coaches targeting the same audience
– Two accountants offering the same services
Indirect Competition
Indirect or complementary services ARE permitted.
Businesses that overlap slightly but serve different markets, niches, or functions may be approved at AusConnect’s discretion.
Final decisions regarding competition classification rest with AusConnect Australia.

4. Group Allocation
Members may be placed into a group based on availability, industry balance, and overall group suitability.
If a preferred group is unavailable due to industry exclusivity, members may:
– Be offered placement in an alternative suitable group, or
– Receive a full refund if no suitable group is available

5. Refund Policy
Full refunds will be issued if:
An applicant is not accepted into any group, or
AusConnect Australia cannot allocate the member to a suitable group
No refunds are provided once membership has commenced, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

6. Membership Fees & Payments
Membership fees are payable monthly or annually, depending on the selected plan.
All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.

7. Member Conduct
Members agree to:
– Act professionally and respectfully at all times
– Avoid aggressive selling, spamming, or unsolicited pitching
– Support the collaborative nature of the community
– Respect confidentiality shared within meetings and breakout rooms
AusConnect Australia reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership if behaviour is deemed disruptive, unethical, or damaging to the community.

8. Attendance & Participation
– Regular attendance is encouraged to maintain group value and continuity.
– Members are expected to participate actively in meetings, breakout rooms, and community discussions.
– Persistent non-attendance may result in membership review.

9. Guest & Visitor Policy
Guests may attend meetings at the discretion of AusConnect Australia.
Guest attendance does not guarantee future membership acceptance.

10. Intellectual Property & Content
All AusConnect Australia materials, branding, and content remain the intellectual property of AusConnect Australia.
Members may not record, distribute, or reuse meeting content without permission.

11. Amendments to Terms
AusConnect Australia reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of material changes.

12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia.
